Might you put a couple of coins beside it in the picture for comparison's sake
I really appreciate the help guys. This is baffling.
Red circle is where it was laying. Excuse how dirty it is. I need to do a full disassemble and clean all that brass out from some shitty ammo i got.
BCG looks to be in good shape. This is the second BCG and i don't have the other one with me. But maybe there's a chance this is a lug off that one? It's an aero BCG so i don't think its a piece of shite but who knows.

That doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen in any of the AR’s I put together.

Is it the black nitride or phosphate BCG from aero?

Lets make this even more confusing. I found this in my spare parts box in a little bag with a small set screw. It looks identical but this one wasn't used and must have been from one of my other builds. I still have no fricking clue what this thing is.

What kind of trigger? Any anti-walk pins? Ambisafety?

Is it some kind of picatinny adapter for a light/laser?

You notice one spare component laying around, next thing you know, you have a cart full of parts to “finish” that build.
I had a box of 5.45x39 bullets laying around during the ammo shortage from a few years ago

MBT-2S trigger
Yes on the antiwalk pins
Yes on Ambi selector.
I took it down completely just a bit ago and can’t find anything missing.

I have a small rail section on the guard but I don’t think anything from that far up could make it into the lower.

Looks like some sort of key, but I have no idea... There are so many parts and brands for AR parts now that it seems like itd be something proprietary.

Yea, would be a strange place for it to end up, it just looked similar to the little block you can remove from the base of an OLight

frick it. Must not be an important part since it was slaying pigs just a couple weeks ago. I’ll go run some rounds through it to retune the gas and see what happens.

Like an iron sight or scope?

Depends on the purpose.
Most people have moved on from irons.
