Had a guy at work with the same issue. New battery and still wouldnt start. It was the piece/terimation block that hooks to the battery. IDK how it goes bad, but it did.
The dealership knew the exact issue from a phone call.

FIL tahoe did something similar and had it towed. The big positive connection terminal has fuses in it and they had all fried for some reason
That fuseable link is a pretty large fuse. Wtf would blow that in wonder. (Besides Kamala)

I’ve got an 06 with almost 300,000 on it. Last week I stopped to grab a sixer. Went to crank it, it clicked and totally died. I got jumped and drove home. Had to go get dinner and it did the same. I figured it was the battery. Jumped it the next morning and went to work. Put testers on and it showed good battery and alternator. Drove it 500 miles to my camp with no issues. It wouldn’t crank one morning. Checked battery and all good. Tried to crank again and it fired right up. Drove home no issues. The clock starts over at 12 every few times I start it. It has been running good since that one day. I’m going to check and clean connections and grounds. Any other ideas?
This sounds like your battery if it has those side posts. GM had a lot of trouble with side post batteries. One of the first signs was the radios would do weird stuff. then it would not start. It would show good voltage and pass a load test but it would not start the vehicle at times. Some sort of weird internal short. I did a lot of consulting work at dealership shops for 32 years. If you can;t find bad battery cables or connections to the starter it is probably the battery. It's why you can jump it off.
