I thought I read where they closed the lake a short time back to do some work in it. Maybe some dredging or something like that because of all the sediment build up. Can anyone confirm? and maybe a brief description of what was done?

Never closed it for the work just dropped water level about 2 1/2 ft. Back to normal now. They dredged a small area on south end and made a half arse island in the very end. No change where most people fish. Unless you go look in very end of lake you would not see anything

This time of year, for me....stained, muddy or not....flipping my gold stick bait next to and under trees in the canals produced some nice stringers...most of the fish were males guarding beds but a few females....but you got to be able to flip under and tight to the bank with a soft entry....fish it small twitches and slow....fun too...lots of dink males, but every now and then, big blow up of a pissed female and just pray you got a mouth full of hooks to hold her to the boat....haven't been in years, but used to fish it hard this time of year back in the day.....summertime before the ski show starts and even after...wacky rigged tight and under shaded piers
