Fished Gipson Saturday....Lots of boats out there....Thought it would be on....Fished schoolboard canal and cuts around there with pretty water....Only managed 8 goggleye, 2 bream and 1 bass....Which for Gipson, sucks....I'm sure there were folks out there hammering them, but we couldn't get them to bite...Initially looked like the water was coming up, but I think it stopped...Didn't see any water moving out, maybe if we fished into the afternoon, we might have done well, but we left around 12:30....Most color jigs were thrown, mostly they hit Green/white...

I fished Gibson yesterday and it was nothing compared to Wednesday. The water was mostly stained and the fish were not aggressive at all. We endeed up with 34 goggle eye and 11 bass. We fished hard and moved around a lot and it was just an off day. I also spoke with many boats who had 2 or 3 fish for the day. I am not sure what the reason was but it was a tough day.

Fished Gibson as well Saturday... Only had 8-9 lbs (with two pushing 3lbs) so it was a pretty shitty day. Never found a good concentration of fish.. I fished from 11-4 so you didn't miss anything leaving early

Media results looked pretty shitty. 16lbs won. 2nd was 12.5. 8 and change got u a check

A real good friend of mine fished the top 25 tournament out of Bayou Black this weekend, they came out second but struggled their asses off. They only had 11.65 lbs to take second so it was tough weekend. I am trying to go later in the week but the weather is not looking to promising. I will let you know how I do.

I have fished the crackerhead a few times and caught some nice sacalait, but I mostly just stick around the bayou black area. I am about to start busting up the yellow mouths in Dularge and chase some tails in Boudreaux. I should have went to the DU this weekend. They have been hammering the all last week.

The one advantage I have is I get to fish a lot and the biggest key to fishing IMO is being on the water as often as possible. I had the privledge to fish with my dad yesterday as well and you can't beat the success of making memories with your dad. I saw some of dem tree shakas as well, but I also saw alot of babies, looks like this years hatchings.

you have to be one of the guys that starts the reports... Once u hear it second hand or in the damn paper it's over with.. Get on the water and avoid the areas mentioned in the paper (bc like you, that's where they think the fish are biting so that's where they are all going)

Eta: boat pressure causes fish to knock off on the weekend.. People beating the banks, getting hung up, running through canals muddying up the water... Pressure fish = turn off

Yeah, that's the fact for sure...I am more in to trying to read conditions on my own to determine where should be good or not...All those areas differ so much...I really need to find a way to read Gibson...Last year I did a good bit of fishing but hit or miss...Sometimes I would go and the water was running out and we did real well...other times it wasn't and not so much. There has to be a water level or tide chart or something that one could read the conditions a little better....But you are way right...Lots of people beating the banks and stirring the water makes for tough fishing...
