Anyone know (with experience *not google*)of a good 3D deer bow target I can get my pops for Christmas? I dont mind spending a couple hundred bucks but I want something that looks good and will hold up for at least a full season or 2 of practice.

Check bass pro or cabela's. Basically all the ones now come with the replaceable core. Buy him a couple of replacement cores too.

Dont get one that has plastic legs...shooting angle shots can cause the arrows to go into these plastic leg inserts and they don't come out easy...biggest pain in the arse. tears up the arrows and messes up how the deer body and legs fit in the deer.

Glendel full rut buck. Really nice target. I have two of them and they are great and hold up well. Will run you about $250
