I've gotten infections from scratches/cuts while in the marsh several times. One time, so bad (near my knee), I could barely walk for about 10 days. I thought it was somethign simple and put off going to the doc for about a week. Finally went and he gave me some kind of serious antibiotic (forgot which one) and told me if the swelling didn't subside in 3 days I was going in the hospital on an IV.
There's some bad shite out there.

take yourself back behind buhlow lake. i am sure there are some guys hanging around the bathrooms that wouldn't mind sucking out the "infection".
