No offense taken.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know reality when it slaps them in the face...so you have to queue up the OBVIOUS for them.

Working for the government...it absolutely astounds me that people can't/won't understand the obvious.

Good. If he does do it illegally, then I hope he gets slapped real hard. The laws for class 3 are finally starting to make some movement and the ATF is finally upgrading systems to make it easier/faster to get NFA items. Id hate for someone to mess it all up.

FWIW, once the new electronic submission system gets going Im setting up my trust and jumping on the train. Probably, a TBAC 30P or 30BA, cant decide on whether to get the screw on or brake attach.

I'm familiar with most of the NFA stuff, but not certain of this:

Hypothetical
Say you legally own a can in a trust (or local SO approval) and go through with the stamp and full process and want to compare you can to something else. You are shooting out back of the camp and take a 2 liter coke bottle (no mods or newspaper or anything) and shove it on the end of your 10/22 barrel, is this a felony?

My understanding is that it is, but it seems like a reach. The oil filter and modded adapter on a threaded barrel shows more intent.
