Sand Berms

I read in another thread that the sand berms would not protect the coast from the spill and would be detrimental to the environment due to erosion and changing the Sal content of the water. How valid are these concerns?

it won't. by the time they finish, the well will have long stopped leaking.

You can bet your arse that someone in y'alls state government has a friend that owns a company that builds sand berms. This is a get rich quick plan that involves crooked La. politicians. They know they have BP over the barrell and they are trying to figure out a way to break it off in their arse.

While I completely agree with you, I do resent the implecation that it is a "Louisiana politics" issue. It's exactly the same in every othe state govenment and the federal government.

I agree 100%, it just read wrong.

Our state is so fricking corrupt that we are running out of jail space.

If the sand stops a little oil from getting into the marshes then fine by me. Crooks and all if you believe that.
