Quote(Anyone get actual numbers yet.

Number of protesters?

Number of riot police?

Number of ambulances?

Number of tree huggers?

Number of tree huggers in ambulances?

One last thing, are they tailgating outside the rally? God I love Louisiana!!!!)

Signs were supposedly not allowed; tree huggers showed up with 'em anyway

I'm disappointed in my peeps that no blood was shed.

No burning effigies of Oblowme.

No woman dressed up as "Energy Fairies".

Not this, but there were 2 bleeding heart liberal women in my section who were trying to heckle, but everyone around them gave them shite, and ALOT of it. They stayed quite a while, but eventually moved to sit somewhere else after the Shell CEO spoke.

The hippy chick's speech was pretty good, but she seemed at times to bounce back and forth between "environmental disaster" and "My family would like to continue eating".

I didnt see any protesters or heckling. My estimation that there were approx 12k-15k people. I thought it was good except for some of the speakers that tried to turn it into a political rally. I also didnt really care for the tangent that the wife of the offshore worker went off on and tried to spin the cause into a environmental disaster rally. Other than that, Jindal, Nungessor and the Pres from Lafourche nailed it. Well done by those 3. The other speakers were just meh. I was very impressed with the turnout, unfortunately I dont think its going to do any good.

I saw Vitter in the crowd, I didnt see Melancon or Landrieu, I would have like to have seen them all get up a speak.
