Went to the open meeting Tuesday night. Not too informative . Spoke with a DEQ rep. Asked him why there was no burning on the shoreline.

He advised that there has been over 150 control burns, offshore. Told him that the public in the Lake Charles area not made aware of the 150 offshore burns Recommend that DEQ let people know what's going on

He also advised that once the leak is stopped, and that the globs and sheen stop coming to the shore, that burning will start.

They do not want to burn now and let the oil get deeper into the marsh. They feel that the globs now on shore, are stopping other globs and sheen, from penetrating deeper.

He did not sound too concerned, with the vegetation, felt it would grow back.

He expressed concerned that some of these inovative methods, may be helpful
