I remember watching some game show as a kid and a guy won a trip to Holiday in Dixie in Shreveport, even as a kid I realized the had been screwed over unmercifully

I remember WOF was taping about 3 weeks worth of shows in New Orleans as Katrina approached. They got about halfway through the tapings before they were forced to evacuate.
Somewhat related, CBS caught a crap storm when they repeated a Price Is Right episode where a Showcase Showdown prize featured a trip to New Orleans...one week after Katrina struck. The episode had been taped in 2004 and was scheduled for repeat but no one caught the glitch. LINK
