1) you seem to have a keener interest in Axis powers replicas, as most of what I see are Nazi or Italian… is this accurate?

My favorite subject to build is German armor. It has nothing to do with politics or sympathies. I like doing German armor simply because of the myriad of different interesting camouflage patterns they used from 1943 to the end of the war.

2) what is the largest scale you’ve built?

I’ve built a couple 1/32 scale aircraft. But it’s been close to 20 years since I did. I usually stick to 1/35 scale armor and 1/48 or 1/72 aircraft.

3) most of what you post is mechanized artillery or air power. Do you do field artillery sets, naval pieces (subs, aircraft carriers, etc.)?

I’ve built a few warships over the years. I have a WWI era German dreadnaught in the stash I’ll eventually build.

4) I liked the Japanese model brands the most. You?

Tamiya is the walking dog. I also like Hasegawa. Airfix is also putting out good kits now as well. I also build Italeri a good bit. I tend to avoid Revell as most of their stuff is problematic at best from a fit standpoint. Right now I’m working on an AFV Club 1/35 scale Sd.kfz 251/22 Ausf. D. I’m on day four of construction…

… I have to say it’s been very challenging due to parts fit. I doubt I’ll buy another AFV kit. That’s disappointing because they have a number of kits I’d really love to build.
