If you are a white male who reaches age 65, you have just over an 18 year life expectancy according to the CDC and NIH. If you are extremely healthy, which most people aren't, you have a pretty good chance to make it to age 90. Life expectancy tables from birth aren't helpful when planning for retirement.

If you’re taking SS and investing it, taking distributions from your IRA/401k that are optional, and paying taxes, outside of a couple very specific circumstances, you’re an idiot.

Yep.
That doesn't add up anyway. The average age of Covid fatalities was 78 which was older than the previous average.
Also, those graphs imply life expectancy was increasing before the pandemic. It dropped slightly in the 2010s.
