Shop app for order confirmation, tracking, etc. Sucks

I've been staying away from any websites that use Shop, feels like an F.U. customer service approach.
-need to pay $3 extra for delivery/lost/stolen protection
-if a package is lost, you the buyer need to file a claim about the lost package
Overall, having to find your own lost package when you just paid for shipping and paid extra for lost/stolen protection seems like a real brush off by the seller company.

Unfortunately up and coming companies utilize Shop quite a bit, but never had a package lost myself, seems like itd be a bitch to have anything done if it did
