You can't prove a non-event, however, there are such avoidance that are very significant. I once walked towards my apartment door following a chick I picked up at the bar. I suddenly came to my senses and realized her arse was not going to fit through my door with a remodel. Requiem of a non-event.

This thread reminds me of four different forms of drug addiction, which lead to the the reader's imprisonment in a world of delusion and reckless desperation that is subsequently overtaken by reality, thus leaving them as hollow shells of their former selves. Requiem for a good thread.
