My uncle did something similar in the mid 90's. He was in Memphis and picked up a guy who needed a ride. My uncle gave him some money and proceeded to go into a store. When he came out of the store the guy he gave a ride and money to mugged him with a metal pipe. My uncle lost a portion of his brain due to how badly he got beat. People are shite.
