LSU to test emergency alert system tomorrow

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. the LSU EOC will be testing the emergency messaging system. You may receive an email or text message as part of this test. The test message will also be shown on the LSU.edu homepage and on the LSU mobile app. Students, faculty and staff, please register your mobile phone to receive emergency text messages by visiting LINK and clicking on “Personal Preferences” and “Emergency Contacts.” While there, please fill out your emergency contact information, too. To ensure the text message system delivers messages quickly, only LSU students and employees are able to register their phones. When a text message goes out, an accompanying email is automatically sent to all lsu.edu email addresses, and the message also scrolls across the top of the LSU homepage at www.LSU.edu.
