Opal knocked down trees in Montgomery. Damage was heavy far inland, all the way to Montgomery, where sustained winds reached 90 mph.

I had just started school in Troy. It was completely fricked. I had to drive up to Montgomery to get on 65, to be able to head home to Baldwin Co. What normally was a 3 hr drive turned into 8.

Also my head hurt so damn bad driving home. I bought Bud Dry for a hurricane party because it was like $2.45 a 6-pack, so I got like 4-sixers. ouch.
