In 2003 or so him and Jay Grimes did a lecture at LSU talking about the potential failures. Believe they used a 2002 storm (maybe Hannah) as the representation of the potential risk.
Can't remember all the specifics, but they talked about how the storm track was shaping up to be "perfect to proce their hypothesis" before turning north into Mississippi. This was before knowing anything about levee construction being substandard.
