1355 The St. Scholastica Day riot in Oxford, England began with an argument between students and a tavern owner over the quality of the wine being served. The riot continued over three days and resulted in the deaths of 63 members of Oxford University and about 30 townsfolk.

I wonder if any ancestors of OTers were involved?

They finally fixed drainage but it will be nowhere near firm

That turf course used to never drain

Hope it keeps improving.

The three biggest are all dirt anyway.

The turf stakes have enough entries that even if it is off they will still have an ok field

Sometimes they’ll do something, but usually just for la derby.

You’ll see some nice horses. I stood out in the rain to see Rachel win the fg oaks. The best horse I’ve ever seen in person
