One of the few times I agree with that statement. They were sweet kids and had a huge uphill battle ahead. I couldn’t teach elementary school bc I would be way to emotionally invested and my heart couldn’t handle it. I don’t know why I was assigned to a 1st grade class bc I wanted to teach high school English and Literature using rap and pop lyrics to get the kids writing creatively. This was before there were movies made about that and it was an original thought for me at that time. Those copy cats didn’t do it as well as I planned.
