This is true.My parents and their friends always had a few drinks when they went out or got together.

I never saw any negative affects,nobody drank too much.

I think my Dad and his buddies kind of felt like The Rat Pack.

eta:Paige,I taught myself to play guitar when quit going out drinking.You may not have as much time with a kid and all but I probably would have gone crazier than and I am if I couldn't pick my guitar up and play.

I'd probably sound better if I was drunk but I haven't had a hangover in at least a decade.
