As a current student, this really pissed me off. Unfortunately, there isn't anything those of us that oppose it can do. Nobody is going to publicly decry this out of the fear of getting ostracized.
There was a time where university's welcomed open debate and conflicting viewpoints. Nowadays, if you take a stand against anything that's not "their view", you're a racist, sexist, homophobe, etc.
