A while back on a flight I purchased a delightful $8 IPA and when the stewardess gave me the touchscreen to pay there was a tip option. I declined.

More recently on a Southwest flight that was delayed over an hour there was a very pleasant old lady stewardess that promptly brought me a fresh gin and tonic 3 times over the course of my flight and I was never charged (apparently this is a thing on Southwest, if your plane is significantly delayed the booze is free?

I tipped her $5 walking out, she laughed and accepted.

TLDR CSB

Have you ever tipped your stewardess?

I fly on airlines that don’t make me pay for alcohol so I wouldn’t know.

No such thing unless you
1. Charter
2. First class
3. Delta Comfort Plus or equivalent

I pay my flight crew their salary to man my private aircraft.

And now they want a tip? I think not.

It works sometimes. They might give you extra service If you are lucky and tip more.

A stewardess was caught with a passenger inside the lavatory of an aircraft owned by a Middle East carrier during flight. The airlines immediately sacked the hostess after she admitted to seducing with other passengers during flight to make money, newspapers said, adding that the unnamed stewardess had made more than $1 million (Dh3.7 million) over two years. “She admitted that she had sex with many other passengers during flight and that she preferred long distance flights between the Gulf and the United States,” the Saudi Arabic language daily ‘Sada’ said. The paper did not name the airline but said it immediately sacked and deported the stewardess, who had made $2,000 almost on every flight.
