Do you like the idea of a renovated River Center/Canes Center

I’ve heard that they are discussing some major updates to the arena. They want to get major acts there not some washed up rapper or country singer. Do you like the idea? It would be nice if we could get Metallica to play in Louisiana again.

River Center maybe a complete tear down really....just start over completely.
Columbia, SC
Austin, Texas
Renovations won't put it on the same level as arenas elsewhere
The Centroplex was built in the like 70s. The Shite is old
What a complete rundown eyesore

LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey made clear Tuesday that she has some questions about the new facility. The arena plans are included in a new ordinance set to be introduced at a Metro Council meeting on Wednesday. The project is considered in the exploratory phase, and no site has been selected yet, an LSU spokesman told The Advocate. The arena agreement would convert the Raising Canes River Center, which is located downtown, into more of a space to host conventions. There is also the potential to add a new hotel. With a new arena at LSU, city leaders believe they can help Baton Rouge attract more big events, including concerts and other entertainment, that can boost the local economy.

Needs to be easily accessible from the loop.

They've actually done a lot of work inside the River Center, but not in the actual arena. The outside still looks like crap.
