We have more of an employer/employee relationship. I handle accounting and management, she handles the break room. Since the grandkids came along, it feels like she is spending way more time on her side gig than the main gig. It will be brought up in her annual review. She will not be receiving a col increase this year, and she will be reminded that she is totally replaceable. The situation really sucks honestly. Her job skills were not accurately represented in her resume and she has made no effort to learn more or expand or even refine her capabilities in all these years.
Unfortunately, the severance package is pretty healthy for her and it might be cheaper to just hire an assistant to take up the slack where she comes up short.
