So latest update:
Thief circumvented the FedEx hold.
Apparently went to go pick it up and told him he couldn't pick it up without id and residential verification. He came back later with his ID and a utility bill showing the 8524 vining address and was able to pick it up.
I spoke with the fed ex office regarding the incident. Said that they couldn't remember his first name and they don't make copies of any of the proof of address. And that it wouldn't be uncommon for people to photoshop a fake bill for verification purposes.
So we have a first initial, last name (M o'neal jr).
There is footage of the incidence.
I reported all this information to the Savannah pd who didn't instill great confidence as they couldn't find my original case I filed yesterday despite me having a case number.
However, they will "add it to my file" and maybe send an office out tomorrow to collect the footage. Won't hold my breath.
In retrospect,.I should have called the fed ex office and told them the situation and them refuse to deliver the package. Apple clearly never followed through on their end to actually have fedex hold or return shipment.
About time for some vigilante justice.

One thing that you need to understand is that the credit card issuer, not you, is the victim of the crime. It's their money that is ultimately stolen for the purchase, not yours. Until credit card companies start raising hell about credit card fraud nothing will be done to change the way things are.

Maybe the savannah metro PD can do some work.
As a native Savannahian, I can only say good fricking luck. Those arse clowns are useless.

I just bought two packs of toilet paper at Costco - it’ll take me a while to get go savannah, though.
Or are we going more vigilante than that?

A friend got his account hacked and the person ordered two iPhones and shipped them to their address. Apple just said they would refund him the money but the phones had already shipped so there was nothing they could do. The police basically said it wasn't worth their time.
What kind of account? Debit? Credit card?
