A note about the crate…. That crate looks perfectly fine for your dog right now. I’m assuming it’s at least 36” long, but the perspective makes it look small in your picture. Don’t let anyone talk you out of using it if that’s the case.

It will likely still work just fine once she’s fully grown, mainly for travel and short periods during the day. But a bigger wire crate might be better if you’ve got to leave her in there longer. But you need to minimize crate time for active dogs like this.

We got a new pup so we recently pulled out my 70lb lab’s old carrier (36x25x27). He now goes in there instead of his giant comfy dog bed. Crate is for sleeping/relaxing, it doesn’t need to be huge but they shouldn’t be left in there for any longer than 4 hours.

She’s small right now (37 lbs) at 7 months. Don’t think she’ll get much bigger. She has over an acre to run around everyday. Good cute dog. Lots of energy as expected.

Good deal. Yea my lab weighed 61 lbs at 6 months and he’s 64 right now after his 8th hunting season, so she probably won’t grow much more.

I forgot to mention that mine’s best toy for relieving energy when he was younger was the four wheeler but running a ton is not the best for their joints, so I dug a pond.

Does she like to retrieve?

Mine loves those filled cow hooves.

They last a while.
