But it's actually not that hard to get to the moon. All man had to do was learn how to achieve powered flight and jet propulsion. After that the science becomes very simple. What it all comes down to in the end is funding. NASA could have never hoped to make it to the lunar surface by January 1, 1970, using the budget Artemis currently enjoys. As far as non-military endeavors, the Apollo program ranks as the most expensive project our government has ever embarked upon.
Agreed, and I think we are ultimately saying the same thing. The thing that turned me from NASA is when it turned into corporate welfare for the DOD contractors to supply a base income to keep them afloat.
If you ever want to get really angry Google "IDIQ contracts DOD R&D". Then compare notes with who the players are in the Artemis pipeline. This isn't about going to the moon so much as making sure the right players are paid, using old technology along the way.

They would give the astronauts news reports during the flight.
One report was that the pole speed at Indianapolis was a little over 170 mph.
The astronauts were like Whoa, that's way too fast, while they were going thousands of miles per hour through space.

It’s actually extremely impossible to get to the moon. Which is why we actually didn’t get there. Get your head out of the sand and look into it. Why haven’t we been back?

Until someone can explain how we pass through the van allen belt, I’ll believe it’s all straight bullshite. And don’t get me started on the phone calls direct to earth lol
