AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite Thread: Road Rager Edition

What a week this has been in pro wrestling outside of the ring
It all started when Jeff Hardy got arrested for having a BAC comparable with somewhat respectable batting averages in baseball.
Tony Khan announced that Jeff Hardy is suspended indefinitely without pay so long as he goes through an alcohol treatment program... meaning The Hardys are out of tonight's AEW World Tag Team Championship ladder match. More on that in the preview section.
And now today the Wall Street Journal notes the WWE Board has opened an investigation into WWE President & Chairman Vince McMahon for allegedly paying $3 million in hush money to a former WWE paralegal with whom he was allegedly having an affair. Some are calling this the biggest threat to Vince's time as the leader of WWE since the steroids scandal of the 1980s... and perhaps even bigger since WWE is now a publicly traded company noting that the then-WWF was a privately-owned company during the steroids scandal.
But this 3-way isn't complete just yet... as John Laurinitis is apparently caught up in this as well (there's a visual no one wants in their head). With Johnny Ace implicated as a potential participant... some wonder if his time in WWE is now short as he could end up being the fall guy in this situation (Vince loves having his fall guys).
And 1 thing the observers note is that the WSJ report says this apparently all started happening around the time it came out that Stephanie was lessening her roles in the company... making them question whether it was these revelations that made her start to disassociate herself from the family company.
AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite: Road Rager (yes that is the official branding and NOT an off-color joke at Jeff Hardy's situation) comes from the Chaifetz Arena on the campus of St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo.
Well... as already noted... due to reasons far outside of the ring... tonight's scheduled triple threat AEW World Tag Team Championship ladder match has lost 1 of the tag teams scheduled to be involved... so instead... it'll be a straight up ladder match for the titles with Jurassic Express defending against the Young Bucks.
Ahead of their match-up for the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door... Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi come face-to-face before their long-awaited match.
The AEW All-Atlantic Championship four-way match at Forbidden Door comes further into focus tonight as "The Redeemer" Miro takes on "All Ego" Ethan Page in a qualifying match to see who joins "The Bastard" PAC in that title match.
(NJPW will have a mini-tournament to fill its slot in that match. On Monday, Tomoaki Honma takes on Clark Connors and Yoshinobu Kanemaru battles Tomohiro Ishii... the winners of those 2 matches face off the next night to see who gets the NJPW slot in the 4-Way [hint: "The Stone Pitbull"... Ishii])
Someone's leaving Dynamite bald tonight as Chris Jericho takes on Proud & Powerful's Ortiz in a hair vs. hair match.
The new IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion is back in AEW tonight as Will Ospreay takes on 1/2 of the ROH & AAA World Tag Team Champions... FTR's Dax Harwood.
The best booty in the business is up for grabs as Toni Storm battles Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. to see who should be in line for a AEW Women's World Championship shot against the sandbagging Thunder Rosa.
And they should've just taken the money instead of catching these hands... it's a 20-on-1 "Class Action Handicap Elimination Match" as Wardlow takes on the American Arena Security Professionals... who will have as much success as Star Trek red shirts. Is going to court really THAT bad that you'd rather face Wardlow instead of pursuing the lawsuit?
How about riding the Storm

quote:Dammit, rt3! I know you're used to the high-stress, fast-paced world of college and higher education but here in Mississippi, we like to take things slower. They're studying things on their own time. I'm sure a breakthrough will take place soon enough.
