Those empty seats are around the hard cam, they aren't sold at WWE shows either
Actually they are... I've sat on that side numerous times in numerous venues. Granted they usually don't sell the lower half of the 100 level but they sell plenty of tickets above that and even behind the entrance board. In Chicago they sell EVERYTHING. In Orlando they sell EVERYTHING. But yes, in "B" cities they don't sell those first 10-15 rows of seats. When they still ran Memphis shows at the Pyramid they sold nearly everything.

I haven't watched it (nor read through this topic) yet so I'm not sure where this conversation started. However I don't need to have seen the PPV in order to know Alvarez is full of shite in trying to cover Tony's arse.

FWIW, if you have the chance to get decent WWE seats on the hard camera side it's really interesting to watch the in-arena production. They bring a shitload full of monitors for a handful of people to work with. 99% sure that's who hits the buttons for music/pyro/etc. (House shows are setup the same but are much smaller and located only a few feet from the entrance.)

At this point, why are “wrestling fans” mad that AEW exist? Serious question.

More tv wrestling means everyone gets paid and wrestling gets bigger in the zeitgeist.

right... plus wrestling... like all forms of entertainment... is subjective

what you may like... I may not like... and what I may love... you may hate

as I've said before in these threads WWE's done stuff I enjoy and others I don't and AEW's done stuff I enjoy and others I don't

WWE has been the same structure since Jr bought it. They've changed a few things to stay with the times but at its core is the same... It's why they send people through NXT first (Balor, Asuka, etc.)

Serious question, what does AFW compare to? NJPW (which already failed in WCW), the NWA "territory days", or is it just a fresh coat of paint on Indy wrestlers with some WWE cast-offs sprinkled in?

ETA: WWE really needs to drop excessively piping in crowd noise. If you can see a bunch of people doing nothing as you hear loud boos/cheers... that's as bad as AFW's trampoline bullshite.
