These camera angles making me dizzy

I noticed something too.
On those sideline shots of the players, the players are in focus while the background is racked way out of focus even when typically they would be in focus.
I wonder if the NFL/CBS is trying to hide the lack of fans or the local sponsors in the dome.
I believe there is one local sponsor that is out there that has been in the news lately that the NFL may not want to associate with.

I seriously doubt there are any nefarious reasons. Fox started doing it earlier this year and CBS just copied it. I like it. It’s like portrait mode on the phone.
