Meachum had a great run after the catch in the 4th for that long TD. Decent blocking (did ya'll see Skylar Green get a chip on someone) helped alot. However, this was against the scrubs. He should be doing that against scrubs. Now, the catch over the shoulder was tremendous. AA play really well. I'm sure he'll make the team. PT runs tough everytime he has the ball. DLine did not impress but they didn't have enough time to get going. We'll see next week. All of this is my opinion. I just want to say I'm super pumped about Meach and AA!

Meachem has the tools to be a good pro receiver. Now that he's healthy, he will have to put them to use and prove himself at this level. I watched him enough at TN that I saw the talent. He should have come back for one more year in college instead of coming out early though IMO. Not just because I drink the urnge kool-aid, but because he needed another year to mature and could have benefitted from Cutcliffe & staff's tutelage.
Not disagreeing but getting drafted in the first round validates his decision. It did sound like he was a little overwhelmed last year, but he was smart and did the right thing in approaching Patten and working with him. Meach was humble, was willing to learn, he worked hard in the offseason, and now I think we're starting to see some of the fruits of his labors. Seems to me that's he's matured a lot in the last year and is on his way to becoming a solid professional under the tutelage of another solid professional. I think he'll have 40 or so catches this year, which is a lot considering he plays with Colston, Shockey, and Bush.
