Things that work:

Landry beating Gasol off the dribble.
we utilize this in the 1st quarter, then never see it for the rest of the game.

Ariza slashing for layups/dunks
we see this in the 1st quarter, then not so much after that.

Not turning the ball over.
funny how when we take care of the ball, we win.

Things that sometimes work

Outside shooting from Paul, Ariza, and last night, Belinelli. They MUST hit those outside shots

When guys in the paint attempt to take fouls. The Lakers are banging hard in the post. if Okafor flops from time to time, he'll get the call every once in a while.

things that NEVER work

anytime Okafor shoots in the lane (other than a dunk)

Landry's outside 15+ ft jumpers this series (he needs to drive)

hoping the ref will call fouls on the Lakers whenever they slap at the ball and hit our players in the face.

turning the ball over 15+ times and expecting to win.

Jarrett Jack (minus that one game clinching shot)

Expecting to win, yet letting Matt Barnes dominate the offensive glass.

That's when he is at his best. His shooting this series has been 100 times better than it was in the regular season.

I think this one is key. The Lakers are better and more talented, no doubt about that. We have to value each possession if we want to win. Also grabbing a few offensive rebounds, not getting into the bonus with 7 minutes left in the quarter, and forcing a few turnovers would help too.

Game 1 was won on this alone.
