Remember the run this team went on after boogie went down? So let’s not look at his statistics as he was not part of the great things that happened after his injury

Key losses from the run:

Rondo
PPG 8.3
RPG 4
APG 8.2
FG% 46.8

Additions:

Elfrid Payton
PPG 12.7
RPG 4.3
APG 6.2
FG% 49.3

Julius Randle
PPG 16.1
RPG 8.0
APG 2.6
FG% 55.8

I think our frontcourt is better. Randle is a great addition with Niko and AD.

That being said, we have no shot against Houston or GSW

but neither does anyone else.

The Pelicans front office played this well. It would have been a poor move to throw money at anyone in Boogie's condition.
