We are basically giving up 2 potential franchise players tour a 1 time all star

We could also be giving up 2 potential NBA busts for a 1 time all star. Busts happen way more than All Stars outside of the top 5 in case you didn't know.

So your saying he's a fluke allstar or unworthy of it because of unfortunate injuries to some players?

Pretty much.

He'll likely never be an All Star again, especially not now that he has to compete against Paul (likely) , Parker, Westbrook, Lillard...

Hmm, we'll we'll see. As long as he keeps putting up stats and plays well, he can be snubbed.

Look bottom line to me is the Hornets frick I mean the Pelicans got their PG. I don't care for Demps givin an additional 1 pick, but it's done. I would have rather they draft the explosive McElmore because I don't think Gordon will be there long. And McElmore will be really good if he stays on the up and up.

This guy gets it.

There were no sure fire all stars in this draft. Everybody talking about Noel being a star center has never watched him play. He has NO offensive game. You can't just say he will develop offensively, either, Because in most cases it doesn't pan out that way. He doesn't do anything well offensively. No back to the basket move and doesn't consistently knock down the face up 15 footer. He is an athlete who would score garbage rebound points and get points running the floor.

He will developed into a nice defensive player in time. You can put him in the type of players like Tyson Chandler, Marcus Camby, Joakim Noah...Nice Players. Nice pieces w/ limited offensive that are there to protect the cup and do dirty work.

As long as the 2014 pick is protected it was a good move to get an all star, proven commodity, who is 23 in this draft.

so not ok to overrate a proven NBA player but perfectly ok to overvalue an extremely raw injured rookie?

We're now seriously financially committed to the proven player.

The raw, "injured" guy wouldn't eat up cap. He'd also be younger.

I know, it's stupid to call Jrue an all-star but Noel will have be someone that improves the franchise for the next 5-10 years.
