I haven’t been watching the draft tonight, so I just logged onto Pels Talk to see where we’re at. Looking at the first page, I think it’s interesting to point out that there’s no thread about or celebration of picking Zion. It’s barely mentioned in the few threads I’ve perused on the first page. It was a completely forgone conclusion, but still...
I think that says a lot about where the Pels stand today as opposed to a month ago. We’re in such a good place that picking a generational talent isn’t even news. Good stuff. Flock up, and whatnot.

You, as with everyone except LSUFreek, completely missed the point. I was not implying that there never were any Zion threads or conversation about the pick. Rather, in the TigerDroppings world where you’d expect news of the caliber of drafting Zion would be stickies at the top of the page for days or weeks, it was yesterday’s news. All I’m saying is that it’s interesting to consider that hiring the sports medicine guy from the Suns was stickied longer than drafting Zion was during the draft. That speaks to how positive the direction of the franchise is, following the miserable fiasco of AD’s trade demands over the past few months that hung like a cloud over the Pels.
Also, the best part of the AD deal is that Griffin ran salary cap circles around the Lakers. I hope the deal has doomed the Lakers to mediocrity for years. Huzzah!
