This song is hilarious. Who would have ever thought a British songwriter could capture the mindset of many Texans? Bernie Taupin is a genius.

It's the song on Don't Shoot me I'm a Piano Player right before "Crocodile Rock."
That song was a big hit and no one ever plays this song. But man, this one is much more powerful... the other was nonsense, though admittedly the better sounding song.
Still..."I'm going to run all you fairies (hippies) out of this town." "Goddammit, you're all going to die."
