RIP Michael Rhodes

The amazingly talented Michael Rhodes, a Monroe native has passed away. Michael was a “first call” session bass player who recorded with Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, Brooks and Dunn, Dolly Parton and dozens of other artists.

He was on a ton of country records in the 80s and 90s, that's for sure. Almost everywhere - like the country Leland Sklar.

He also played with Joe Bonamassa.
Will surely be missed.

Did he have anything to do with "Mike's Music" in Monroe? I remember that store in the early and mid 90s was great.
