I was listening to an 80’s Spotify playlist awhile back and came across one of their songs called Poster Child. It was catchy as hell and I looked them up and they aren’t even 80s, there stuff is from 2016 ish , two Canadian brothers. Here are three of my favorites:
Romanticism
Bad Dreams
Poster Child

There's a big retrowave movement that's been going on since about 2011. You can find a million retrowave playlists on Spotify if you're interested. Some of my favorite acts include The Midnight, NINA, At 1980, The Bad Dreamers, FM-84, etc.
Unfortunately, don't expect to find much discussion on this board.

Well that’s a shame. I have heard The Midnight, really like some of their songs. Metal is my preferred genre, but goddamn if I don’t love some 80’s style/synth every now and then.

Yeah, it's pretty strange it doesn't get mention considering how much the movement has made its way into major pop acts (Taylor Swift, The Weekend).
