I was reading one of Pamela Des Barres books last night and ended up on youtube and found this clip.
I had never heard of Ezra Furman before seeing the last couple of minutes of this video. But his reaction to Cynthia Plaster Caster led me to look him up and what do you know, he's a bisexual transgender that uses her pronouns.
I can see why he looked like he wanted to die when she approached him about making a plaster cast of his junk.

I think this VH1 video was shot around 2005 and I quit listening to a lot of newer music in the late 90s.
The song that he did in the clip reminded me a little bit of a Violent Femmes song.
