Any Barcelona Sant Andreu Jazz Band fans on here?

It's a public school in Spain that brings kids in at 6 or 7 years old, and they play together for 10-plus years - into their 20's. And they bring American jazz pros to work with them - sometimes for several years off and on.

Yes. Excellent. Discovered them about two years ago. Odd to see an teen girl in Spain play both the trumpet and saxophone and sing in English on the same song. I just love finding talent that is unknown to us here. Some really incredible performers around the world. In fact, foreign artists are the majority of what I listen to these days.

Saw an interview with Joan Chamorro. He said he doesn't select the students. Any kid in Barcelona can attend. It is a public school. Not all develop into performing band members, but it in unbelievable how many do.

Some students do have experience before joining, but most don't.

Amazing to see the dual instrument expertise. Like Elia on violin and saxophone.
