Surprising little gem recommended

Normally...I wouldn't watch this - assuming this type of genre film has been done to death and I'd find the main character as annoying as the kid in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. He's not at all - you actually find everyone else around him annoying. Clever choice of style to push your attention.

But The Story of Luke is pretty good for one of those feel good quirky indies - Seth Green turns in a quirky supporting role. Same main character as Thumbsucker and same pace.

This isn't a quirky Indie that is trying really hard to be a quirky Indie and is self-aware about it - like Little Miss Sunshine or Juno - which are both obnoxious.
