I watched this show in the 70s when sweet little Kathy Lee Johnson (now Gifford) was the “La La” girl. It was well done, straight forward, and had plenty of non-manufactured suspense. I still remember the culmination of the show when the lady won $100,000 (1970s) by identifying “Someday My Prince Will Come”.
This new version is an overproduced mess made for the mentally challenged. Randy Jackson looks like a less gay version of Billy Porter. The band is meh. Contestants are surely socially challenged.
I will say that hostess Jane Krakowski looked amazing in thigh-high leather CFM boots.

The best part of that show was when the contestants would outbid each other just to outbid each other.
"I cam name that tune in 6 notes!"
