The frick? He’s fricking great as the Hulk, and 99% of people feel that way.
The MCU fricked up the Hulk. Made him a joke of what he is supposed to be. But the MCU did that with most of the characters.
So yeah, Ruffalo was a good choice of making a pussy MCU Hulk. The real Hulk/Banner are supposed to be dark characters. Not amusement park rides.

You’re right. It’s his politics. Always the politics.
In Ruffalo's case, no. His Banner was weak, not tormented. He was the butt of most jokes, not a brooding, angry scientist like Banner was supposed to be.
There's a lot to dislike based on his portrayal. I much preferred Norton.

Bill Bixby's Hulk show was so different it is hard to compare.
Bana is completely forgettable; maybe because the movie was horrible.
Norton was the most believable in the movies. I could picture him being a scientist on the run. Really disappointed he was replaced.
Ruffalo is the worst. Maybe if Hallmark was making a Hulk rom-com Christmas special he would be a good fit.

Bana. I’m one of the few that think Ang Lee made a pretty deep movie.
Nothing against Norton as I think he is a terrific actor but I think Ang Lee’s Hulk is the best by a long shot. Banna does a tremendous job of channeling the same loneliness and despair that the character had in the original tv series. And the speech Nolte gives at the end when they are both chained to the electro magnetic thing was Oscar worthy.

Bixby was damn near perfect for the role, and was easily the best.
