Is this a good time to scale back my DirecTV package?

I have the big package with all the pay movie channels but I'm hardly ever using it.
I mostly need HBO and Showtime for the series that I watch and enjoy on each - but it seems like we're in a "dead zone" for the next few months - am I right?
Would this be a good time for me to scale back and save a hundred bucks or so?
Thanks in advance.

big love starts up sunday. That's enough for me to keep HBO.

I believe that new series on HBO about the Pacific campaign, Band of Brothers type, starts in the next few months

just call them up and tell them you want to cancel your movie channels. they'll offer you a deal to keep them. i just called to cancel showtime since dexter ended and they offered me $10 off a month for 6 months to keep it.

Thanks. I think I'll just change the plan online and then re-up when the shows I care about come back on.
