I love reading. I've tried to read this book about 4 times and I just can't do it.
Haha, me too. The book makes a good conversation piece, "Hey, check out the crazy arse formatting in this book!"

In terms of formatting (if that is what appealed to you in HoL) I'd read Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov. It's a novel of a poem called "Pale Fire" and commentary from a friend of the poet. Lots of jumping back and forth, footnotes, etc. Plus, it's Nabokov. Can't really go wrong.
