Big Daddy - Finally realized something

Just in case anyone wants to feel better about their IQ…
I’ve watched this gem many times but hadn’t seen it in forever until the other day and just now realized where the “Microsoft is down 3 points, we gotta save some money” line came from in the grocery store scene. I always thought this was just a dig at the company/industry etc.
In the opening montage you hear a conversation between Sonny and his father and he mentions the money he got from the taxi lawsuit is kicking arse in the stock market, but it doesn’t come up anymore in the movie until the one line in the grocery store scene and that’s it.
Looking back it’s strange they didn’t close the loop on that in the final scenes while closing the loop on Sonny’s lawyer career and Vanessa’s 5 year plan. Surely Sonny would have done pretty well keeping his money in Microsoft in the late 90s.
