Uhhhh, we won?

Yeah, they dominated
It's okay, Mavs just aren't a championship contender. Just an above-average team. Maybe after they make a few good changes I'll buy into it.

Actually, we did dominate. If you outscore a team by 36 points in 22 minutes, that's domination. That's like winning a game by 75 points.
But yes we were down 29, but it's called fluky shots. The Twolves were making a bunch of them.
Let's say a team loses a game by 15 points, but the team they lost to hit 5 halfcourt shots with 1 second to go on the shotclock. You wouldn't think much of that game, because you know that those shots made were an anomaly.
Not that the Twolves hit those kind of shots, but they shot 49% for the game, 9/14 from behind the arc, and still lost. Anomalies, but the Mavs are so good they can overcome them.
They were also outshooting the Mavs by 30% at one point. flukes.

or did they just match the Twolves anomaly with one of their own?
That is the question.
That is the question.

To be honest, I really don't care that they won. I just wanted to see what you'd say. I still refuse to believe the Mavericks are getting anywhere in the playoffs (which I'd be surprised if they got in)

No, the Mavs are 19-12, the Twolves are 6-25. the Mavs won by 7 and won by 10 in the first meeting. Although what happened in the 48 minutes was unusual and extreme, the final result is unsurprising and the way it should be.

You're a moron if you'd be surprised if the Mavs got in the playoffs.

I know, I was kidding. I sure hope a "championship contender" can handle the lowly timberwolves. McHale makes me laugh. Best GM/Coach ever.

Why when there's 3 better teams in their division?
Posted on 12/31/08 at 12:55 am to NobranaloN15
We're 1-1 v Houston, 1-1 v San Antonio, and 0-0 v New Orleans. We're .5 games back of Houston, 1 game back of San Antonio, and 1.5 games back of New Orleans.
Is a 1.5 game gap through 30 or so games indisputable proof that one team is better than the other, or is it just variance attrituable to the Hornets easy schedule and fluky shots?

Furthermore, you could be 4th best in division and still make the playoffs. it happened for the Mavs last year.

Of to bed, Mavs 17-5 in last 22, bitches.

It's possible, but unlikely. I see them falling off towards the end of the season. Going to sleep as well. Later.
