Yeah, #2 in attendance in the NBA, thats awful. Granted, these were mostly renewals during the playoffs last year, but even with Lebron gone, the fan base he built is not evaporating overnight

Some idiots think basketball in Cleveland didnt exist before the Clown Prince. We had some great teams in the early 90's and also had a good run in the late 70's. Cleveland has always supported the Cavs and will continue to do so.

You are the one who said the NFL is more thuggish than the NBA so how about YOU back up YOUR claim.
Aight brah?

I didn't say anything about the NFL, but I would agree with whoever said that

The thing is too, people are showing up. Ive watched numerous Cavs games and the place is always full. Watch a home Heat game during the week. That crowd is a fricking joke.

I posted my link of NFL arrests since 2000. A lot of them beat the shite out of women. Don't find too many NBA players doing that. Allen Iverson, Matt Barnes are the only ones coming to mind.
I guess people like Lebron James, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Kobe, D Wade, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, etc are thugs.
I want to know who these NBA thugs are. Show me some arrests for violence acts against people. Who Ron Artest, Jermaine O'Neal, Stephen Jackson?? Is that all people have to claim NBA players are thugs.lol. Lamar Odom smoked weed so he's thug, Kobe "raped" a girl, he's thug, Allen Iverson threw his girl outside the apt and made a rap song, he's a thug.lol. Oh JR Smith throws up "gang" signs but don't think he's ever been arrested for violent acts. I guess that makes him thugged out.
ETA: Carmello Anthony made a tape in the hood, so he's a thug. I'm trying to help people out in naming "thugs". If those guys are the definition of thugs then the meaning took on a whole new term. Doubt if REAL thugs want to be associate with them.

I heard about that. Lebron put a lot of arse in the stands. They showed the attendance figures before he got there and afterwards.

No its not. The Cavs have been a part of Cleveland since 1971 and moving the team has never really been an option...That equates to supporting the team. Many places have lost teams since 1971.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were dwelling at the bottom of the league in attendance for the 2002/03 season. The team failed to make the playoffs, lucked out in the Draft Lottery by securing the number 1 pick and turned the franchise around by selecting Ohio native and possibly the most hyped player to enter the league since Michael Jordan, LeBron James. Fast forward to the end of the 2003/04 season and the Cavs, although not improved enough to make a playoff appearance, saw an increase in attendance of 34% overall including a staggering 59% increase for home games.

granted i was still floating in a nutsac when jordan entered the league, but i've never heard him talked about as being really hyped...he was a phenomenal athelte coming out but i dont think anyone envisioned him turning into what he eventually became
besides, he went what, 3rd overall...?

The Cavs were and now are again the Warriors or Clippers of the East. Most casual fans occasionally forgot they were even in the NBA before LeBron.

It happened. Once a girl says "no" that means stop. Kobe kept going, so by law it's rape. That's why he settled out of court.
